ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching Grant

The ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching recognizes outstanding educators in entomology. It honors ESA members who excel in innovative course development and teaching methods at the community college or university level. Each year, nominations are accepted from ESA Branches, with a limit of one nominee per branch. Candidates may be renominated if not selected, but only twice within two years. This prestigious award underscores the importance of education in the field of entomology.

About ESA
Members are researchers, teachers, extension service personnel, administrators, marketing representatives, research technicians, consultants, students, pest management professionals, and hobbyists.
Each year the Entomological Society of America, Certification Corporation, and the Entomological Foundation provide annual honors and awards to recognize scientists, educators, and students, who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to entomology.
The purpose of this award is to honor the role of entomological education as a basis for the entire discipline by recognizing an ESA member who is deems to the most outstanding educator of the year.

Eligibility

The nominee must be a current ESA member, teach at the community college or university level, and must have excelled through innovations in developing new courses, programs, and teaching methods. Only nominations from ESA Branches are accepted for the ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching. Each Branch is limited to one nomination per year.Any candidate nominated but not selected may be renominated no more than two times within the two-year period after his or her initial submission.
You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. The nominee must be a current ESA member. Members can only submit in one Branch each year.
