Entry Level Training Funding Reimbursement

Program Type: Reimbursement for entry level training costs

Geographic Scope: Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

Eligible Training Programs

Fire Entry Level Courses:

  • Entry Level curriculum course as prescribed by PA State Fire Academy to complete the level of Fireground Support

  • First Aid/CPR/AED

  • Hazardous Materials Awareness Level Certification Test

  • Traffic Incident Management Certification Test

  • Support Firefighter Certification Test
  • EMS Entry Level Courses:

  • Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) + Certification Test

  • Emergency Medical Technician/Basic (EMT-B) + Certification Test

  • BLS Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
    • Eligible Training Locations

    • Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center (LCPSTC)
    • Fire Company in conjunction with LCPSTC
    • DOH Education Training Institute

      Eligibility Requirements

    • Emergency Service Organization (ESO) must be a paid member of LCFA in good standing by 12/31/25
    • Student(s) must be at least 16 years of age
    • Student(s) must be individual members in good standing of LCFA for a minimum of 2 years
    • Student(s) must not be career/paid employees
    • Courses and/or certifications must have been successfully completed

  • Location of Course or Certification Test

  • Name of Fire Company that held the course (if applicable)
  • Step 3: Student Information and Documentation

  • For each student requesting reimbursement:

  • - First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name
    - Email
    - ESO Name
  • Upload Certificate/Certification of Completion (jpg, png, pdf, doc, docx; max 100 MB per file)
  • Additional Required Information:

  • Name of organization that initially covered the cost of training

  • Address where reimbursement should be mailed

  • Additional information or questions (optional)
    • Required Certifications

      Applicant must certify the following are true:
    • Emergency Service Organization (ESO) is a paid member of LCFA in good standing by 12/31/25
    • Student(s) are at least 16 years of age
    • Student(s) are individual members in good standing of LCFA for a minimum of 2 years
    • Student(s) are not career/paid employees
    • Courses and/or certifications were successfully completed
    • All conditions have been met to apply for funding
    • Any funding provided must be repaid if information is proven false
