Ent Credit Union: YES Grants

Ent Credit Union's YES Grants program supports youth-focused nonprofit organizations in Colorado, having awarded over $1.8 million since 2000. In 2022 alone, $200,000 was distributed to 74 grant recipients from over 160 applications. The program aims to enhance community support for children by providing essential resources such as shelter, food, and educational programs. Selection is made by a committee of Ent team members, ensuring a diverse representation in the decision-making process.

And it’s why after 23 years, we’re still approving Youth Endowment Series (YES) grants to nonprofit agencies that benefit youth in the communities we serve. In 2022, we awarded $200,000 in grants to deserving organizations across the state of Colorado.
Since we began in 2000, Ent YES Grants totaling more than $1.8 million have helped over 250 Colorado nonprofits serve children of all ages in crucial and life-changing ways. YES Grants have helped organizations throughout the state provide shelter for children facing abuse, put food on the table, enhanced literacy programs and much more.
In 2022, we received more than 160 applications with grant asks of $1.5 million. Through competitive applications and the tireless work of our committee, we narrowed that down to a total of 74 grant recipients. YES Grants are particularly meaningful at Ent as the recipients are selected entirely by a committee comprised of Ent team members from a variety of areas throughout the credit union. Eligibility

Ent Credit Union may make contributions, donate funds or otherwise sponsor:Non-profit organizations located in or conducting business in the areas it serves as described in its charterOrganizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and operate primarily to promote or develop credit unionsOrganizations qualified under 1 or 2 who submit a written request for financial support from the credit union

Ineligibility

Ent Credit Union will not make philanthropic contributions to:Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, culture, creed, religion, age, national origin, gender or sexual orientationOrganizations or programs that are primarily religious in nature or purpose
Individual primary or secondary schools
Organizations or programs that are controversial based on political or cultural norms
Pass-through non-profits (third-party support) e.g., Lion’s Club
With the exception of agreed-upon multi-year commitments, Ent Credit Union will not typically establish a history of contribution to any single agency, organization, or activity in excess of three successive years
