Representing the interests of audiologists and future audiologists nationwide, the Academy is dedicated to fulfilling its mission: providing quality hearing-care services through professional development, education, research, and increased public awareness of hearing and balance disorders. The American Academy of Audiology is the world's largest professional organization of, by and for audiologists. Empowering Students Scholarship Overview The American Academy of Audiology Foundation’s Empowering Students Scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to six students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist as evidenced by the student’s resume, rubric, and personal statement. This scholarship program is generously funded by Oticon Hearing Foundation. $30,000 in scholarship funds are available, and Oticon is designating up to $20,000 of these funds for Black students.

Eligibility

The Empowering Students Scholarships will be awarded only to fulltime graduate students in audiology (AuD, PhD, AuD/PhD) in good standing at a U.S. university during the current academic year.Students are only eligible to receive one scholarship award per academic year (i.e., August through July annually), although they may apply/be nominated for more than one scholarship.Students are only eligible to receive a specific scholarship one time, although they are eligible to receive a different scholarship in subsequent years.
