Employment Social Enterprise (ESE) Technical Assistance (TA) Program – PY 25-26 Grant

The Employment Social Enterprise (ESE) Technical Assistance (TA) Program, funded by the California Employment Development Department, offers up to $1 million for the 2024-25 program year. This initiative aims to assist vulnerable populations by providing tailored support to enhance employment outcomes through work-based learning and experience. The program focuses on overcoming barriers and promoting job skills in various industry sectors and regions across California.

The Employment Development Department (EDD), in coordination with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency, announces the availability of up to $1 million from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Governor’s Discretionary Fund for the Employment Social Enterprise (ESE) Technical Assistance (TA) funding opportunity for Program Year 2024-25.
The TA awardee will provide individualized assistance based on each program awardee’s project focus, the unique barriers of the target populations being served, and the industry sectors and geographic regions involved. These efforts should support Social Enterprise intervention strategies that provide work-based learning, work experience, and the supportive services necessary to help improve employment outcomes. The ESE program will provide support to California’s most vulnerable populations, transitioning participants into the workforce by placing them into supported employment settings that allow them to earn wages while improving their job skills and building work experience.
