Notes

To be eligible to apply, departments must provide emergency medical and/or rescue services, have at least one NVFC member, be over 50 percent volunteer, serve a population of 25,000 or less, legally organized under state law, and demonstrate a need for the gear.This is the first of three application periods as part of the Ricochet PPE Award Program. The application period ending 09/30/26 will be for Ricochet Wildland Gear, and the application period ending 10/30/26 will be for Ricochet Wildland + Technical Rescue Dual-Cert Gear (NFPA 1950 – 1977/1951). Departments can apply for any or all gear packages based on their operational needs; applying for one does not make you ineligible to apply for another. The application periods open 09/01/26 and 10/01/26 respectively.
