The Emergency Assistance Program provides timely financial support to MPC students facing sudden financial crises that threaten their ability to continue their studies. Examples include car breakdowns, medical emergencies, unexpected rent increases, and other unforeseen expenses that create impossible choices between covering basic needs and staying in school.

    Program Benefits

  • Immediate financial relief for urgent, unforeseen expenses
  • Assistance securing basic needs and educational resources including:
  • - Food - Housing - Textbooks - Medical care
  • Support developing long-term plans to prevent dropping out due to financial challenges

    Eligible Expenses

    Assistance has been provided for:
  • Dental bills
  • Vision care (glasses/contacts)
  • Housing costs and relocation expenses
  • Vehicle repairs and gas
  • Food and basic necessities
  • Storage facilities
  • Laundry services

    Program Impact

  • Program prevents students from having to drop out of school due to temporary financial setbacks
  • Each $1,000 donated prevents approximately four students from dropping out
