Overview
Fact (page-stated, cies.us/current-awards): established 2020 to recognise an emerging scholar researching the policies or practices of multiculturalism and/or multilingualism in Europe and/or other countries who is planning to present that research at the annual CIES conference. Emerging scholar = final year of Ph.D./Ed.D. or up to five years post-doctorate. Given for an unpublished paper based on an abstract accepted for the next conference plus a required 2000-word summary. Award is an honorarium of $1000 USD. Applications to the Office of Executive Director (oed@cies.us) by September 25, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET; must include the 2000-word summary, the CIES letter of acceptance, proof of Ph.D. status and a resume.
