Purpose The Ed Leo Scholarship Fund is established for the benefit of graduating members of the Cedar Falls (Iowa) High School First Robotics Competition Robotics Team (CFHS FRC Team) meeting specified criteria. If the CFHS FRC team ceases to exist, donor would support scholarships for students at the Cedar Falls High School involved in STEM activities and/or provide grants to personal finance/financial literacy teaching programs/curricula at the Cedar Falls High School.Eligibility

Scholarship awardees must be enrolled as full-time student at any two year Iowa college listed here or any accredited four year not for-profit university or college nationwide.All applicants must meet all of the following qualifications:No consideration of FSS, EFC, SAI, and no requirement they submit FAFSACompletion of applicationMinimum 26 composite score in ACTMinimum B+ GPACompletion with PASS or minimum B+ grade in at least one of the following: CAPS, AP class or Hawkeye/UNI courseMinimum 4 semesters in First Teach Challenge/First Robotics Competition with at least 2 of the latest being FRCCitizen or permanent resident of the USSubjective Criteria:Higher weight- Achievement, leadership, performance, teamworkLower weight- 500-1,000 word essay on gracious professionalismFocus Areas & Funding Uses
