Summary
The Employees Community Fund (ECF) of The Boeing Company, specifically the Utah Chapter, has empowered employees for over 60 years to impact their communities through pooled donations. With a focus on smaller, local nonprofits, ECF Utah has invested over $60,000 in 2018 alone, supporting organizations that provide essential services. This employee-managed fund fosters a deep connection between Boeing employees and their communities, ensuring that even lesser-known nonprofits receive vital support.Overview
Seeking Support We lead responsibly to help address challenges that are bigger than any one company’s interests. Boeing supports organizations that are leaders in what they do, demonstrate innovation, and align and collaborate with others to achieve workable solutions to community issues. Our community investments are managed locally, and grantmaking strategies are tailored by locations to address the specific needs of their region. Employees Community Fund (ECF) of The Boeing Company One of the largest employee-managed funds of its kind in the world, the Employees Community Fund (ECF) of The Boeing Company has been empowering employees to make a greater impact by pooling their tax-deductible donations for more than 60 years. Employee-led grantmaking committees at 20 Boeing sites- provide combined employee donations to nonprofits in their communities through ECF grants. Charitable or educational organizations can apply for grants from the Employees Community Fund (ECF) of The Boeing Company. Utah Chapter Boeing’s relationship with Utah began in 1927 when a Boeing Air Transport aircraft touched down in Salt Lake City. The state was a stop along an air route between Chicago and San Francisco. Since then, Utah has become a hub for Boeing business. Today, facilities provide specialized parts for Boeing Commercial Airplanes and vital services for the company’s defense customers. The ECF Utah Chapter is small but mighty! Employees from Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Ogden and Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Salt Lake City make up our organization. In 2018, we invested more than $60,000 in local nonprofits. ECF Utah focuses on smaller community nonprofits without a national presence. These organizations may not be well known but are providing much needed services to the community, and we’re proud to be able to support them. ECF Focus Utah ECF focuses on smaller nonprofits within the communities where employees live and work.Eligibility
