Driver's Education Scholarship
Organization: Blue Skies for Children
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for students to participate in a professionally licensed Driver's Education Program that may otherwise be unaffordable.
- Age: 15 to 17 years old
- Status: Homeless, low-income, or in foster care
- Geographic scope: Whatcom and Skagit County residents only
- Additional requirements: - Access to a car and auto insurance - Family income verification (eligible for free/reduced lunch under WA State OSPI Guidelines qualifies) - Identification required for parent/guardian and child
Eligibility
- Amount: Up to $500 per scholarship
- Limit: 5 scholarships per enrollment period
- Award basis: Merit and need
- Use period: Three months from award date to use scholarship funds
