Overview
Co-administered with New Mexico Finance Authority. Provides low-cost financial assistance to public water systems for repair and replacement of drinking water infrastructure, compliance with drinking water regulations, and protection of drinking water quality and public health. Eligible projects include new/replacement water sources, treatment, transmission and distribution lines, storage, SCADA systems, system interconnection/regionalization, energy efficiency and water conservation. Can finance planning, design, pre-project costs, and land acquisition. Interest rates from 0% to 4% depending on ownership and Median Household Income. Subsidy available for Disadvantaged or Severely Disadvantaged entities.
