Overview

Co-administered with New Mexico Finance Authority. Provides low-cost financial assistance to public water systems for repair and replacement of drinking water infrastructure, compliance with drinking water regulations, and protection of drinking water quality and public health. Funds new and replacement water sources, treatment facilities, transmission and distribution lines, SCADA systems, interconnection/regionalization infrastructure, energy efficiency and water conservation projects. Also finances planning, design, pre-project costs, and land acquisition. Interest rates range from 0% to 4% depending on public water system ownership and Median Household Income. Preliminary applications accepted year-round; projects reviewed quarterly.
