Overview

Co-administered with the New Mexico Finance Authority, this fund provides low-cost financial assistance to public water systems for repair and replacement of drinking water infrastructure, compliance with drinking water regulations, and protection of drinking water quality and public health. Eligible projects include new/replacement water sources, treatment, transmission and distribution lines, SCADA systems, system interconnection/regionalization, and energy efficiency/water conservation. Can finance planning, design, pre-project costs, and land acquisition. Interest rates range from 0% to 4% depending on ownership and median household income.
