Overview
Co-administered with New Mexico Finance Authority. Low-cost loans to public water systems for repair and replacement of drinking water infrastructure, compliance with regulations, and protection of water quality. Eligible projects include new/replacement water sources, treatment facilities, transmission/distribution lines, storage, SCADA systems, water system interconnection/regionalization, energy efficiency and water conservation. Can also finance planning, design, pre-project costs, and land acquisition. Interest rates 0%-4% depending on ownership and median household income. Disadvantaged and Severely Disadvantaged entities receive subsidy assistance. Applications accepted year-round with quarterly ranking reviews.
