Dr. James & Juanita Kane Scholarship

Overview: The Beartooth Billings Clinic Foundation offers the Dr. James & Juanita Kane Scholarship to support students and staff pursuing careers in rural healthcare.

Background: Since 2006, the Foundation has distributed scholarships; to date, $122,845 has been awarded to students and staff.

Eligibility:

Area graduating seniors

Beartooth employees who plan to work in rural healthcare

For 2024/2025 school year: Students enrolled in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at Red Lodge High School

Program also available to other Carbon County high school students

Current Beartooth employees enrolled in, or seeking to enroll in, a course of study at accredited technical schools, colleges, or universities in Montana or Wyoming

Program Requirements:

CNA program students must complete a final written and clinical competency exam with support from Beartooth Billings Clinic Acute Care
