The Dr. Frederick Jones Sr. Family Scholarship Fund, established by the Communities Foundation of Texas, aims to support graduating high school seniors from Southwest Dallas, specifically Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster. The purpose of the Dr. Frederick Jones Sr. Family Scholarship Fund will be to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors of Southwest Dallas from Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster, Texas who are pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or medicine at any accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the United States or its possessions.
