Dr. Frank Groner Administrative Fellowship Program
Overview: An immersive, one-year training opportunity where fellows learn and work with executive-level leadership at Baptist Memorial Health Care. This program develops the next generation of healthcare administrative leaders.
Program Duration: June through May of the following year
Geographic Scope: Baptist Memorial Health Care system across Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi (24 hospitals, 3-state region)
Program Structure: Three-phase approach
- Time spent in corporate offices learning overall system management
- Focus on system support services including: - Strategic planning - Operational management - Managed care - Finance - Human resources - Quality - Legal - Marketing - Government relations - Clinical service lines (cardiology, neurology, oncology, pediatrics, etc.)
Phase 1: Corporate Office Training
- All 24 hospitals
- Baptist Medical Group clinics (900+ providers)
- Outpatient surgery and imaging centers
- Home care
- Hospice
- Emergency services
- Telemedicine
Phase 2: Operating Entities Exposure
- Support and lead innovation teams
- Active projects for the health system
- Hands-on management skills development
Phase 3: Applied Knowledge & Leadership Development
Mentorship: Fellows work directly with two preceptors:
