Dr. Frank Groner Administrative Fellowship Program
Overview: An immersive, one-year training opportunity designed to develop the next generation of health care leaders. Fellows learn and work under the guidance of executive-level leadership within Baptist Memorial Health Care, a large not-for-profit health care system with 24 hospitals across Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Program Duration: June through May of the following year
Geographic Scope: Three-state region (Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee)
Program Structure
The fellowship is organized into three phases:
Phase 1 - Corporate Office Training:
- Strategic planning
- Operational management
- Managed care
- Finance
- Human resources
- Quality
- Legal
- Marketing
- Government relations
- Clinical service lines (cardiology, neurology, oncology, pediatrics, and others)
Phase 2 - Operating Entity Exposure:

Mentorship
Primary Preceptors:
Fellows work directly with these two executive leaders throughout the 12-month fellowship and receive mentoring from Baptist's Senior Leadership Team, hospital CEOs, medical group leadership, and corporate system services.

Upon completion, fellows will have:
