Don Halcomb was a distinguished agricultural leader who served on the Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association board for 25 years as Promotion Council chairman and was deeply committed to education and youth programs.
- Total Awards: 2 scholarships of $2,000 each - 1 award for a high school senior entering college - 1 award for a current undergraduate or graduate student
Award Details
- Residency: Must reside in Kentucky
- Field of Study: Must be pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field
- School: Must attend an accredited college, university, or trade school (location unrestricted)
- Selection Criteria: Award recipient should exemplify and continue Don Halcomb's legacy of leaving the world a better place for those they may never meet
Eligibility
- May be used for tuition, housing, books, and other educational expenses
- Awards are sent directly to the winner's accredited institution before the fall semester begins
- If a student is not enrolled in coursework by the fall semester, the award may be forfeited unless serious illness or injury prevents enrollment (in which case it may be used the following semester)
