Purpose: To honor Highland Park High School graduates and community leaders who have distinguished themselves through outstanding professional accomplishments, exemplary community service, and loyal support of the school district.

Program History: Started in 1989; nearly 160 honorees since inception

Geographic Scope: Highland Park High School alumni and community, Dallas, TX

Award Categories:

Distinguished Alumni Award

• Eligibility: Attended HPHS for minimum 2 years; at least 30 years of age at time of nomination
• Note: Awards may be given posthumously with no age requirement
• Fields of Achievement: Arts, athletics, business, education, entertainment, law, medicine, military, music, philanthropy, politics, public service, religion, science

Distinguished Young Alumni Award

• Eligibility: Attended HPHS for minimum 2 years; graduated from HPHS; achieved great success in first 20 years after graduation
• Note: Awards may be given posthumously with no age requirement
• Fields of Achievement: Arts, athletics, business, education, entertainment, law, medicine, military, music, philanthropy, politics, public service, religion, science
