Dewey Lee Curtis Symposium Scholarships Grant

The Dewey Lee Curtis Symposium Scholarships, offered by the Decorative Arts Trust, support graduate students and emerging professionals in the decorative arts field to attend biannual symposia. These scholarships, named in honor of historian Dewey Lee Curtis, cover symposium registration, lodging, and a travel stipend. With a mission to promote the appreciation of decorative arts, the Trust encourages collaboration and learning through expert lectures and exclusive museum tours.

NOTE: The deadline for applications is approximately two months prior to the beginning of a symposium.

Exchanging information through domestic and international programming;Collaborating and partnering with museums and preservation organizations; andUnderwriting internships, research grants, and scholarships for graduate students and young professionals.
Curtis scholarships enable graduate students and young professionals in a field related to the decorative arts to attend the Decorative Arts Trust’s biannual symposia. The Trust supports at least two scholarships for each symposium. Named in memory of the late Dewey Lee Curtis, a decorative arts historian and founding father of the Trust, scholarships cover the full cost of symposium registration, lodging, and a modest travel stipend.

Eligibility

Current graduate students and professionals working in a related field who are less than 5 years from the completion of a degree.
