Devils Youth Foundation Scholarship

Program Type: Annual scholarship program

Partners: New Jersey Devils Alumni including Martin Brodeur, Andy Greene, Bryce Salvador, Ken Daneyko, Bruce Driver, and Travis Zajac

Award Details: 10 scholarships awarded annually to New Jersey high school seniors

Geographic Scope

• Location: New Jersey only
• Applicants must be New Jersey residents
• Must attend high school in New Jersey (public or private)

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must:

• Be New Jersey residents
• Be U.S. citizens
• Be current high school seniors graduating in Spring 2026 (or equivalent year)
• Plan to enroll full-time in the next school year at:
  • An accredited four-year college or university, OR
  • A two-year community college, OR
  • A recognized trade program
• Demonstrate commitment to studies, community, and the sport of hockey
• Have some experience in hockey (playing experience is a "plus factor" but not required; current play or college plans not required)
• Have experience in community service or volunteer work

The Devils Youth Foundation partners with New Jersey Devils Alumni to support youth education and community engagement.

Application Process

Timeline:

• January 10, 2026 – Applications open
• March 15, 2026 – Application deadline (all materials must be submitted)
• May 2026 – Recipients notified
• TBD – Award luncheon at Prudential Center

Note: As of April 3, 2026, the 2026 application cycle is closed. The next application cycle will open January 10, 2027.

Required Materials

1. Two letters of recommendation (from non-family members)
2. Current GPA (copy of school transcript required)
3. Basic applicant information
4. Written essay addressing:
   • Impact of hockey on your life and lessons learned through the sport that will apply to future endeavors
   • Community/volunteer work that has impacted you most and why
