DeLeon Carter Foundation Grants

The DeLeon Carter Foundation Grants support a wide range of charitable purposes, including religious, scientific, educational, and literary initiatives, as well as the prevention of cruelty to children and animals. This private foundation is committed to addressing the needs of the Rocky Mount and Nashville communities while maintaining flexibility in its decision-making processes. Eligible applicants must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Mission Statement:
"This trust is created and shall be operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes or the prevention of cruelty to children or animals. Mrs. Henry's expectation that the trust's focus, and the continuity of directorships, is to be linked to her history and her pattern of concerns for Rocky Mount, Nashville, and Nash County, but not to the extent that those concerns constrain the board's discretionary powers."

Eligibility

Applicants must be tax exempt under the provision of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If you are incorporated, provide a copy of the Articles of Incorporation.
