David Viancourt and Kathy Ferguson Memorial Scholarship

Overview: This scholarship honors the memory of David J. Viancourt and Kathy A. Ferguson, who were both dedicated to education and serving their communities. Mr. Viancourt spent his career as an administrator of skilled nursing facilities, including Twilight Haven for over 20 years. Ms. Ferguson was a nurse and women's health advocate.

Geographic Scope: Central Valley, California

Focus Areas: Education and skill development for students at community colleges, state colleges, or vocational schools

Award Details:

Approximately 4-5 scholarships awarded annually

Maximum award: $3,000 per recipient

Divided into equal payments over two semesters

Must be utilized within 1 year of receiving the award

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Be graduates of an accredited high school or have a GED

Be enrolled as full- or part-time students

Be working toward an undergraduate degree or enrolled in vocational trade school

Preference given to (not guaranteed):

Current or former employees of Twilight Haven, Masten Towers, Glen Agnes, Delno Terraces, or TAT Management

Children of employees or former employees of the above facilities

Adults returning to school

Single parents

Military veterans

Selection Criteria

Scholarship committee will judge applications in a nondiscriminatory and objective manner based on:

Applicant's demonstrated financial need

Applicant's demonstrated personal character
