Community Foundation of North Central Washington The Community Foundation of NCW is a tax-exempt philanthropic organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. David M Bohr Memorial Baseball Scholarship The David M Bohr Memorial Baseball scholarship fund was established at the Community Foundation of NCW by memorial gifts made to honor David M Bohr. David was a long-time Wenatchee attorney and judge pro-term in Chelan. David led many youth activities throughout the Wenatchee Valley, but baseball was his true love. He spent sixteen years coaching and serving on the board of Wenatchee Youth Baseball. He also served as an assistant coach for Wenatchee Babe Ruth Baseball, serving as President until 2002. This scholarship, in David’s memory, supports a graduating senior from Wenatchee, Eastmont, Cashmere, Leavenworth or Waterville High School, with special emphasis on a student who participated in baseball.
