David DePetrillo Memorial Scholarship

The David DePetrillo Memorial Scholarship was established in loving memory of David DePetrillo, former Chairman of the RI Hospitality Education Foundation.

Background: This scholarship honors his lifelong dedication to education, tourism, and workforce development. David was a passionate leader and advocate who spent his career creating opportunities for young people to succeed in hospitality. His tenure as Director of the Rhode Island Tourism Division and his commitment to education left an enduring impact on the industry.

Purpose: This scholarship assists Rhode Island local students and adult learners through higher education opportunities.

Eligibility

• Target Audience: Local students or adult learners
• Educational Requirements: Enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university in New England
• Degree Level: Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in foodservice, lodging, or tourism industry
