NOTE: To ensure adequate time for a full application, we strongly encourage applicants to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) early in the grant cycle. LOIs submitted fewer than 10 business days before the full application deadline may be reviewed in the next grant cycle. Applications must be received by February 1, May 1, August 1, or November 1 to be considered. Applications received later will be held until the next Board meeting. Background The chief purpose of The Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation is to glorify God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, by supporting charitable and community organizations in their mission to improve the community. The Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation was created for the purpose of making philanthropic donations to any charitable organization the Trustees deem appropriate. The mission statement of The Amos Family Foundation is broad and can be changed. The Foundation’s mission statement reads that it will donate to organizations that “improve mankind’s condition.” The Amos Family Foundation Trustees are encouraged to include Christian organizations in their distributions. General Guidelines for Grants The Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation seeks out organizations/ministries that: (1) demonstrate effectiveness (2) exercise collaboration (3) adhere to best practices (4) strive for sustainability (5) document outcomes (6) Align with Amos Family Priorities

Eligibility

Amos Family Foundation accepts grant applications from the geographic area defined by the sixteen counties of the West Central Georgia Health District* (Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooley, Harris, Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Webster) and Russel County, Alabama. Organizations outside the defined geographic area may submit a grant proposal online.Organizations outside this geographic area are welcome to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). If the Foundation determines that the request aligns with it's priorities, the organization may be invited to submit a full application.Amos Family Foundation makes charitable grants only to 501(c)3 organizations as classified by the IRS Code of 1986ff.Amos Family Foundation may give, resulting in naming opportunities and public recognition of the gift.
