CSRO Advocacy Grant
Funder: Coalition of State Rheumatology Organizations (CSRO)
Geographic Scope: United States (member state societies)
Focus Areas: State-level advocacy efforts supporting rheumatologic and musculoskeletal health issues
- Promote state rheumatology society activities that advocate access to highest quality medical care for rheumatic disease patients with autoimmune inflammatory and degenerative diseases
- Assist state or regional organizations to become formalized societies and provide leadership on rheumatologic and musculoskeletal health issues
- Provide a network for state societies to exchange information regarding issues pertaining to delivery of high quality care to rheumatic disease patients
- Educate insurers, government officials, corporations and other entities of the impact and importance of rheumatic diseases and rheumatologic care
- Provide a forum for members or their state/regional professional organizations to create and advance a rheumatologic and musculoskeletal health agenda
- Collaborate with patient organizations, national and international societies and other public/private organizations
Objectives
CSRO strives to:- Sponsored advocacy day at the state capitol
- Advocacy training for member rheumatologists
- Conference registration fees
- Specific issue webinar development
- Any activities that support advocacy for issues affecting rheumatologist members
Eligible Funding Uses
Funds may be used for specific advocacy activities including, but not limited to:- Applicant societies must be a member of the CSRO
- Applicant societies must be current on payment of dues
- Applicant societies must submit an application outlining the proposed project, budget, timeline, and specific amount of funds requested
Eligibility Criteria
- Member societies receiving a grant from the CSRO will not be eligible for additional grants for two years following the conclusion of the project

Application Process
1. Download Application - Complete the CSRO Advocacy Grant application form (available on the grant page)
2. Prepare Application Materials - Include:
- Proposed project description
- Detailed budget
- Timeline for implementation
- Specific amount of funds requested
3. Submit Application - Submit completed application to the CSRO Executive Office via email at info@csro.info
4. Review Process - The application will be reviewed by:
- CSRO Grant Committee (initial review)
- CSRO Board (final approval)
- Grants are reviewed as submitted with no deadline for applications
- Allow 6-8 weeks for review before Committee returns answer
5. Post-Approval Requirements - Once approved:
- CSRO Executive Office notifies applicant
- Applicant prepares invoice for granted funds
- Report detailing outcomes of project required to be submitted to CSRO Board no later than two months following the conclusion of the project
