Geographic Scope: El Paso, Texas

Purpose: CREEED provides grants to support innovative efforts that help increase educational attainment, influence system-wide change, and ensure ongoing success for El Paso students.

Focus Areas:

• Educational attainment initiatives
• System-wide education change
• Student success programs

Eligibility:

• Organizations with tax-exempt status (IRS determination letter required, dated no more than 5 years from application date)
• Groups or organizations with demonstrated record of successful education outcomes
• Must have Board of Directors

Required Documentation:

• Brief description of applying organization and track record
• Senior staff bios and Board member bios
• Detailed budget request with expense breakdown and payment structure
• Fund receipt deadline (subject to CREEED's funding requirements)
• Detailed project description including goals, metrics, and geographic scope
• Project timeline
• Current operating budget and proposed project budget
• List of current and pending funding sources with amounts
• Board of Directors contribution data (total contributions past 24 months and percentage of contributing members)
• IRS letter of determination reflecting tax-exempt status (dated no more than 5 years prior)
• Answers to CREEED Grant Evaluation Guidelines questions

How to Apply

Step One: Prepare Documentation
Gather all required application materials:

1. Brief description of the organization applying and/or leading the proposed project, including past record of successful education outcomes
2. Brief bios of senior staff members and Board of Directors
3. Detailed budget request and budget narrative including:
   • Specific amount requested
   • Breakdown of expenses
   • Payment structure for grant funds (if applicable)
4. Date of deadline for receipt of funds (subject to CREEED's funding requirements)
5. Detailed project description including:
   • Goals
   • Metrics
   • Geographic scope
6. Project timeline
7. Current operating budget (if applicable) and proposed project budget
8. List of current and pending funding sources with source names and amounts
9. Total Board of Directors contributions for past 24 months and percentage of Board members who have contributed
10. Letter of determination reflecting IRS tax-exempt status (dated no more than 5 years from application date)
11. Answers to questions presented in the CREEED Grant Evaluation Guidelines

Step Two: Email Grant Request
Submit completed application via email with detailed explanation of how funding request matches CREEED Grant Guidelines.
