Program Description

A fellowship program for college students interested in leading faith-based discussions about the wellbeing of animals used for food and factory farming's environmental impact. The selected fellow will work with Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA) organizers, CreatureKind, and other mentors.

    Key Details

  • Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week
  • Duration: August through April (8 months)
  • Stipend: $1,000 for project support and related travel expenses
  • Training: Includes training retreat in August

    Eligibility

  • College/university students
  • Heart for faith and food intersections
  • Interest in affecting positive change on environmental and animal welfare issues
  • Can meet internship or academic requirements (optional)

Application Process

1. Visit YECA Website - Go to Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA) website for fellowship information and application forms

2. Complete Application Forms - Fill out application materials through YECA's online portal

3. Specify Fellowship Interest - Clearly indicate that you are interested specifically in the CreatureKind Fellowship when completing the forms

4. Submit by Deadline - Application deadline is March 30 (annual)

5. Selection Process - Successful candidates are notified and invited to training retreat in August

6. Training Retreat - Attend mandatory training retreat in August to begin fellowship
