Create a Scholarship

Overview: Program allowing donors to establish scholarships at Kankakee Community College Foundation with designated criteria for scholarship recipients.

Geographic Scope: Kankakee Community College service area, Illinois

Three Types of Scholarships:

    Annual Scholarship

  • Minimum Contribution: $1,000
  • Description: A scholarship donated annually to establish and/or maintain a fund
  • Recurrence: Annual

    Temporarily Restricted Scholarship

  • Minimum Contribution: $5,000
  • Description: Funds restricted for a specific purpose for five or more years until depleted
  • Duration: 5+ years

    Endowed Scholarship

  • Minimum Contribution: $25,000
  • Description: Perpetual scholarship where principle remains intact and only interest is awarded
  • Duration: Perpetual

Areas of Funding Need:

  • Books

  • Health Careers

  • Out-of-district students

  • Manufacturing

  • Part-time students (majority of KCC students)

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)

  • Students not eligible for financial aid

  • Supplies: art, health careers, welding
