Summary
The Corporate Giving Program by the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations within specific states. They prioritize initiatives that enhance community welfare, especially in agriculture, education, health, and environmental sustainability. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status to apply, and preference is given to those involving Perdue associates. Ineligible requests include those from religious, political, or individual-focused groups. This program emphasizes broad community benefits over organizational affiliations.Overview
NOTE: Perdue Farms states in their guidelines that they "... may give additional preference to organizations in which [their] associates have direct involvement, but the overarching consideration is the betterment of the community." However, please note in their online form if you select "No" when answering the question "Is this grant request endorsed by a Perdue Associate?", you will be considered ineligible for a grant. Perdue Farms is a fourth-generation, family-owned U.S. food and agricultural company. Now in our second century, we never use drugs for growth promotion in raising poultry and livestock, and we are actively advancing our animal welfare programs. Our brands are leaders in no-antibiotics-ever and in USDA-certified organic proteins. Through our two operating divisions, Perdue Foods and Perdue AgriBusiness, we’re taking steps every day to meet our goal of becoming the most trusted name in food and agricultural products. Our path forward is about getting better—not just bigger. What we support We believe in putting our resources where there is a direct benefit to a broad-based spectrum of the community. We strive to strengthen our communities by focusing our efforts on agriculture and the environment, education, fighting hunger and poverty, health and social services, and public safetyWe also support organizations that celebrate the heritages and cultures of our communitiesWe only award funds to organizations that are supported by our associates. A letter of endorsement from a Perdue associate is required to be included in any application submitted for consideration. We may give additional preference to organizations in which our associates volunteer.
