Competitive Demonstration Grant

The Ohio Commission on Minority Health is offering the Competitive Demonstration Grant, providing funding up to $100,000 annually for health promotion and disease prevention among economically disadvantaged minority groups in Ohio. This grant targets African Americans, Hispanics, Native American Indians, and Asians, addressing significant health disparities. Only one application per agency is allowed, and the initiative aims to serve the identified populations while remaining accessible to all eligible individuals.

The Ohio Commission on Minority Health announces the availability of funds for grants not to exceed up to $100,000 per year. Applicants can only apply for up to $100,000 in FY26 and only one application is allowed per agency. Amended Substitute House Bill 171 established Commission grants for the purpose of health promotion and prevention of disease among minority Ohioans who are economically disadvantaged. Minority groups are defined as African Americans, Hispanics, Native American Indians, and Asians. The research clearly indicates significant disparities for racial and ethnic populations across the abovementioned of diseases and conditions. Therefore, applicants are expected to primarily serve the identified populations established in the Amended Substitute House Bill 171, while remaining free and open to the public who meet the criteria for program services.
