Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Scholarship
Overview: Community Action of Southern Kentucky accepts applications each spring for annual CSBG Scholarships. There are $1,000 scholarships available, with one awarded in each of the ten counties served.
Purpose: The CSBG Scholarship helps provide training or retraining required for the local job market. It is designed for income-eligible individuals wanting to return to school or continue their education.
Eligible Uses: Scholarship benefits can be applied to:
Geographic Scope: Barren River Area Development District counties:
- Must live in one of the ten counties in the Barren River Area Development District
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must show proof of household income within federal poverty guidelines
- Must complete the application form
