Community Response Fund

Emergency response fund established March 19, 2020, to rapidly deploy resources to nonprofit organizations during crises (such as COVID-19 pandemic). Provides quick financial support to organizations serving vulnerable populations impacted by emergencies.

Geographic Scope:

• Newaygo County (primary)
• Lake County
• Mecosta County
• Osceola County
• Donors can designate gifts to specific counties

Funding Focus Areas:

• Childcare support
• Food insecurity/assistance
• Healthcare services
• Transportation
• Financial assistance
• General operating support for frontline organizations
• Other identified community emergency needs

Target Populations:

• Children
• Older adults
• Other vulnerable populations affected by crisis

Eligibility:

• Nonprofit organizations in service area
• Organizations supporting vulnerable populations impacted by the crisis
• Frontline service providers
