Program Status: Active - 28 organizations in Yakima County selected as of February 25, 2025

Geographic Scope: Yakima County, Washington

Funding Amount: $20,000 to $75,000 per organization

Program Focus: The Community Reinvestment Plan is a $200 million state appropriation focused on investing in communities disproportionately harmed by the historical design and enforcement of state and federal criminal laws and penalties for drug possession.

Key Investment Areas

Organizations can receive funding in the following categories:
• Asset Building - Creating lasting economic benefits and building wealth
• Community Healing - Supporting community recovery and wellness
• Matched Savings - Matched savings programs for individuals
• Technical Assistance (Capacity Building) - Support for organizations to steward funds effectively
• Violence Prevention - Programs addressing violence in communities

Administration

• Yakima County Local Advisory Team (LAT): A 10-member community team directs grantee selection and fund administration
• Staff support and compensation provided to community members leading the program
• LAT served January 2025 - June 2025
