Overview: Supporting a range of community needs and promoting a culture of philanthropy in Teton County, Wyoming.

Geographic Scope: Teton County, Wyoming

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government entity, or other IRS-recognized charitable organization serving Teton County, Wyoming

  • OR be fiscally-sponsored by an entity that meets these requirements

  • No for-profit applicants, even with a qualified fiscal sponsor

  • Grant funds must be used exclusively in and for the benefit of Teton County, Wyoming
  • What They Fund:

  • New or existing programs

  • Capital projects

  • Equipment purchases

  • Capacity building

  • General operations
  • What They Don't Fund:

  • Debt retirement

  • Religious or political activities

  • Primary focus on influencing legislation

  • Projects or training that have already been completed

  • Requests that have been funded by the Community Foundation or requested within the past 12 months cannot be resubmitted
  • Available Funds: Typically awards $700,000–$750,000 per year total to eligible organizations

    2026 Timeline:

  • Application Period: January 28 at 12 pm MST — March 4 at 5 pm MST

  • 5-week application period intended to allow applicants time to coordinate with organizations and establish strategic project partnerships

  • Grant Notifications: Week of May 4
  • 2027 Timeline:

  • Similar to 2026; specific dates to be announced in fall 2026
  • Application Requirements:

  • Applicants may request $3,000–$30,000

  • Proposals may be partially funded

  • The 2026 Competitive Grants Tip Sheet is an important resource that organizations are asked to review prior to applying
  • How to Apply:
    1. Visit the CFJH Grant Applications platform
    2. Complete the application form
    3. Submit by the deadline: March 4 at 5 pm MST (for 2026)

    Support Available:

  • Organizations may schedule time with the CFJH Grants Team to discuss any Competitive Grants questions
  • Reporting Requirements:

  • Grantees must submit a Grant Report after completing their proposed work

  • Report form focuses on: work's impact, evaluation strategies, budget variations, and Foundation recognition

  • Grantees are invited to submit photos if available

  • Access report form through CFJH Grant Applications platform

  • 2025 Competitive Grants reporting due: December 1, 2026

  • 2026 Competitive Grants reporting due: December 1, 2027
