Community Foundation of the Lake - Karen Jean Rudek Fund Grant

The Community Foundation of the Lake - Karen Jean Rudek Fund Grant supports horse and dog shelters, sanctuaries, and rescue facilities, especially in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Governed by a knowledgeable Board of Directors, this fund was established by Karen Jean Rudek to ensure her legacy of animal care continues. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, with funding available up to $10,000, but not for salaries or utilities.

The Community Foundation of the Lake works to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Lake of the Ozarks area through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. The Community Foundation of the Lake is governed by a Board of Directors, chosen for their knowledge of the area. Grant decisions are made by the Karen Jean Rudek Grant Fund committee.
The Karen Jean Rudek Fund provides support for horse and dog shelters, sanctuaries, and rescue facilities with preference given to Lake of the Ozarks organizations.
Karen Jean Rudek was a long-time resident of the area who loved her dogs and horses. She bequeathed her estate to set up a foundation to support horse and dog care in the local communities of Camden, Miller and Morgan counties. She entrusted stewardship of the fund to the CFL to ensure her long term wishes of animal care were met in perpetuity.
Funding
Applicants may apply for up to $10,000 in funding.

Eligibility

501(c)(3) organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts, and churches) serving the service area are eligible to apply.Agencies which apply must be horse and/or dog shelters, sanctuaries, or rescue facilities.

Ineligibility

This grant is not for funding of salaries, utilities or rent.
