Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas Scholarship Program

Purpose: Recognize and reward students who have demonstrated consistent and outstanding academic achievement in high school and college and are of worthy character

Eligibility:

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution
• High school and college students

Focus Areas: Scholarships available in the following areas:

• Education
• Medical
• Music
• Agribusiness
• Photography
• Graphic Arts

Geographic Scope: Awards available to recipients from certain areas, cities, and states

Application Timeline:

• Applications available: December 1st
• Deadline: February 1st (annually)

Selection Process:

• A scholarship committee of local people with knowledge of financial aid and scholarship programs reviews all applications
• Committee makes recommendations to the Board for qualified recipients
• An average of 30 to 35 different colleges are attended each year by scholarship recipients

Scholarship Application Process

Application Format:

• Application cannot be filled out online
• Must be printed out, completed manually, and mailed to the office

Submission Process:

1. Request or download application form (available December 1st)
2. Complete application by hand
3. Mail completed application
4. Submit by February 1st deadline
