Community Catalyst Fund

Overview: The ACF Community Catalyst Fund provides place-based grant awards to serve specific Anaheim City Council Districts. Grants support programs that address priority needs identified in the 2024 Anaheim Needs Assessment Report.

Geographic Scope: Specific Anaheim City Council Districts (rotates by year)

2025 Focus: Grants awarded to support programs addressing priority needs identified in the 2024 Anaheim Needs Assessment Report in specific City Council Districts

Eligible Applicants:

  • US-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations

  • Educational institutions

  • Government entities serving Anaheim

  • Must be in good standing with the IRS
  • Award Amount: $10,000 - $25,000

    Application Process:

  • Unsolicited proposals are NOT accepted

  • Organizations are invited to apply for this fund
  • Reporting Requirements: Reporting required for every grant received. Reports consist of:

  • Survey Monkey response on how funds were spent

  • Impact of the program

  • Who was served

  • Overall success of the program

  • Testimonial from someone served by your program or recognition on social media (tag @Anaheimcf on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Conditions of Award:

  • Funds must be used for approved purposes only

  • Alternative use of funds requires advance written authorization from ACF

  • Significant changes in project/organizational leadership must be reported within 30 days

  • Grantee must agree to ACF Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policy

    Application Process

    Invitation-Only: Do not submit unsolicited proposals. Organizations will be invited to apply.

    Submission Guidelines: When invited to apply, submit application as clearly and succinctly as possible:

  • Don't assume reviewers know program details

  • Be specific about impact and sustainability of the project

  • Address how program aligns with 2024 Anaheim Needs Assessment Report
  • Selection Process:

  • Applications reviewed by Board-appointed Grants Selection Committee

  • Committee selects successful candidates and makes funding recommendations

  • Applicants receive automated acknowledgment upon submission

  • Highly aligned applications may be asked to provide additional information or schedule an interview
  • Award Announcements: All applicants receive automated confirmation and will be contacted later with results
