Community Based Substance Use Disorders Services Access Grant

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is offering grants for community-based services targeting substance use disorders. This initiative aims to expand access to essential services while addressing gaps in care across the state. Eligible organizations can apply for project budgets up to $500,000 annually, with at least 12 contracts expected to be awarded. The funding supports prevention, treatment, and support services to enhance the health and wellbeing of North Carolinians.

NCDHHS’ Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services gives grants to organizations that support the needs of North Carolinians affected by mental health needs, substance use, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or traumatic brain injury. The division funds work that includes:

The purpose of this RFA is to help expand access to relevant services and supports across the state of North Carolina that address documented gaps in access. This initiative aims to address the causes of the uneven distribution of the success of substance use disorder programming across the state to build a system of care that meets each North Carolinian’s specific needs.

Awards: DMHDDSUS intends to award at least 12 contracts to eligible applicants.
