Community Arts Project Grants

Funder: The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County, WV

Purpose: The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County is funding Community Arts Project Grants to initiate or further worthwhile projects that encourage cultural/arts awareness among Harrison County residents and support arts/cultural organizations.

Award Amount: Up to $1,000 per grant

Geographic Scope: Harrison County, WV

Grant Objectives:

  • To promote the study/awareness of art, music, or culture

  • To preserve cultural resources

  • To further the appreciation of the arts
  • Suggested Projects/Activities:

  • Public artwork for community beautification

  • Produce a theatrical or musical work

  • Public exhibitions

  • Maintain historic properties and artifacts

  • Plan an arts appreciation program

  • Field trip to a museum

  • Student-produced presentation or documentary on an arts or culture subject
  • Grant Cycles:

  • Round 1: Deadline November 15, 2025 (Events occurring January–June 2026); Project completion deadline June 30, 2026

  • Round 2: Deadline May 15, 2026 (Events occurring July–December 2026); Project completion deadline December 31, 2026
  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applications must be postmarked by the respective deadline for each round

  • Applicants must not have received grant funds in the previous granting period (one grant per 12 months)

  • All proposals must use the current project summary, project narrative, and itemized budget forms for the 2026 grant year

  • Proposed project/activity must be accomplished by the respective completion deadline

  • Recipients must acknowledge The Cultural Foundation in any advertising or press materials

  • Recipients must submit a final report and photographs no later than 60 days after project completion to be eligible for future grants
