Columbus Realtors Foundation - Emergency Aid (Benevolence Fund) Grant

The Columbus REALTORS® Foundation, established in 1991, provides essential emergency financial assistance to members of the Columbus Association of REALTORS® and their families facing extreme circumstances. With a commitment to improving the housing environment in central Ohio, the Foundation has invested over $600,000 in the community. This benevolence fund aims to support those in urgent need where other resources fall short, reinforcing its role as a key partner in affordable housing initiatives.

The Columbus REALTORS® Foundation (CRF) is the charitable arm of the 9,500+ members of the Columbus REALTORS® and central Ohio real estate community.
Formed in 1991 as a donor-advised fund, the CRF now operates as its own nonprofit public charity, investing over $600,000 in the community since 2008, emerging as one of the strongest local REALTOR® Foundations in the country.
As strong advocates of affordable housing in healthy communities, the CRF and its donors seek to be an influential partner for local nonprofit and government housing entities.
Purpose of the Benevolence Fund
The purpose of the Columbus REALTORS® Benevolence Fund is summarized in its mission statement: “The Columbus REALTORS® Benevolence Fund is dedicated to providing financial related assistance to members of the Columbus Association of REALTORS®, their family members, and employees, who are victims of extreme circumstance.” The Fund seeks to provide short-term emergency financial assistance to members, whose basic necessities are not covered by other existing programs, or insurance coverage.
Funding Priorities:
The Columbus REALTORS® Benevolence Committee reserves the right to review each case brought forth to the Committee members on a case by case basis. While funding is ultimately up to the Committee’s discretion, extraordinary need brought on by unforeseen circumstances, is the Committees main priority.

Eligibility

You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Absent unusual or extraordinary circumstances, the applicant, employer of applicant, or immediate family member, must have been a member of the Association for a minimum of three years and be in good standing at time of application (the committee may, in its discretion, waive the required three-year good standing period).
