Overview

_NOTE: If you have applied already, you can re-apply, should the need arise. That means, if you have not been awarded funding, or if your organization received funding and those dollars have been expended, you can submit another application. We cannot guarantee that funding will follow, but with a rolling process and the consistently shifting environment, we believe it important to be as open as possible during this uncertain time._

Our Mission

Coastal Community Foundation works to create communities rich in equity, opportunity, and well being by uniting people and investing resources so that all community members have a pathway to achieve their goals.

Disaster Response Fund

Coastal Community Foundation has activated its Disaster Response Fund to stand ready to deploy flexible resources to organizations that are working with communities disproportionately affected by Tropical Storm Debby and whose work is within the 9 coastal counties of South Carolina: Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Hampton, Horry and Jasper Counties.

Currently, the Disaster Response Fund is focused on organizations that are:

* delivering emergency aid such as supplying food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to disaster-stricken areas; and
* supporting recovery efforts such as the rebuilding of home, infrastructure, and community services to restore normalcy.

The Foundation always receives a larger number of requests for grants than it can fund, and in disaster circumstances, we anticipate that the number of requests will be greater than usual. We will endeavor to respond as quickly as possible regarding the status of the application request to allow organizations to secure a variety of resources to meet needs within the community.

The amount for grants awarded ranges from $5,000 to $20,000 and will look to support recovery efforts in affected counties within the Foundation's service area.
