College Scholarship Program

The Federation's College Scholarship program is an important resource for students attending a college or university for undergraduate or graduate studies.

Geographic Scope: Bay Area Jewish community

Eligibility:

• Undergraduate or graduate students
• Attending accredited college or university

Key Information:

• Completing one application opens the door to consideration for up to 15 different scholarships
• Example scholarship: Nathan J. and Virginia H. Friedman Scholarship (renewable based on continued academic achievement and service)
• Recipients can use funds to support academic pursuits, research positions, and volunteer work

Background: The program has supported students pursuing higher education and has enabled recipients to engage in unpaid research positions, volunteer service, and community-oriented interests.

Application Process

• Deadline: March 31 (annually)
• Format: Single application for consideration of up to 15 different scholarships
• Advice: Applicants should be themselves, express who they are, look for guidance when needed, and write about what they are passionate about
