Geographic Scope: Service area of Firelands Electric Cooperative (Ashland, Huron, Lorain, and Richland counties, Ohio)

Eligibility

• Outstanding high school seniors
• Must live in a home receiving power from Firelands Electric Cooperative
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale

Award Breakdown

• First place: $1,800
• Second place: $1,600
• Third place: $1,400
• Fourth place: $1,200
• Four Judges' Choice awards: $1,000 each

Additional Opportunities

• First-place winner is eligible to compete for additional scholarships worth up to $4,600 from Ohio's Electric Cooperatives during statewide competition (held April 7, 2026)

1. Complete Online Application
   • Applications MUST be completed online this year

2. Submit Application
   • Deadline: 4 p.m. on January 23, 2026
3. Interview Round
   • Selected finalists will be invited for personal interviews
   • Interview date: Monday, February 16, 2026
   • Interview location: Firelands Electric Cooperative office in New London, Ohio
