Program Focus: Support for early phase research and clinical trials for children with cancer at pediatric cancer centers

Background:
Children's Cancer Research Fund, in partnership with Momcology, awarded $180,000 in total grants ($20,000 per institution) to nine hospitals to conduct early phase research and clinical trials for children with cancer. Funds were raised through the 2016 Great Cycle Challenge USA presented by Macy's.

  • Seattle Children's Hospital
  • Program Goals:

  • Ensure more rapid development of new therapies for childhood cancer patients

  • Help doctors and researchers open more clinical trials

  • Increase patient enrollment in clinical trials

  • Improve chances for survival and quality of life for children with cancer
  • Additional Support:
    Great Cycle Challenge USA funds also continue to support groundbreaking childhood cancer research at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota.
