Coach Ike Sherlock (1978-1985): VMI's head wrestling coach with an exceptional track record:

Team finished runner-up in 1980

Earned a Southern Conference team championship in 1985

Recruited and coached 12 individual Southern Conference champions

Named Southern Conference Coach of the Year four times

Coached three 30-win club wrestlers: John Ehrenberger '84, John Munno '84, and Steve Green '83

Coached six of VMI's top 20 all-time wins leaders

Career record: 86-19 (highest winning percentage of any VMI wrestling head coach)

Coached John Munno '84 to Southern Conference Tournament Outstanding Wrestler Award
