Scholarship Information Scholarships are an essential part of the CNYCF’s commitment to advancing equity and shared prosperity throughout our region. Our scholarships help to make continuing education affordable for students, giving them access to new opportunities that can change their lives. Clyde E. Rutherford Leadership Scholarship When Dairylea Cooperative Inc.’s board president, Clyde Rutherford, completed his service, the company’s board of directors established this fund as a lasting tribute to his selfless service and dedication. This annual scholarship recognizes outstanding youth who exemplify a cooperative spirit, leadership and commitment to their community; all of which are core characteristics exhibited by Clyde. Three scholarships can be awarded.

Applicants can be graduating from high school or in collegePlan to attend/currently attending an agriculture collegePursuing a degree in dairy OR the general agriculture fieldMust be related to, or work for, an active member of the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), and be involved in their communities via activities or volunteer work. Applicants should:show a commitment and passion for the dairy industry in a variety of ways,show a desire for continuous learning, academic excellence, andexhibit a willingness to better understand other’s viewpoints.
