Cloud County Economic Development Fund Grant

The Cloud County Economic Development Fund, managed by the Greater Salina Community Foundation, aims to enhance community well-being through grants for projects that foster economic and community development in Cloud County. Eligible recipients include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, educational institutions, and government entities. The fund supports innovative initiatives and capacity-building activities, while disallowing political projects and funding for past debts. Applications are accepted monthly, promoting ongoing community engagement and development.

Enabling donors to fulfill their charitable desiresBuilding a permanent endowmentFacilitating prudent management and care of fundsMeeting needs through grants, awards, and scholarships
Projects or programs that serve the community and/or advance the mission of the organizationSeed money to establish or initiate a new project, program, or organization, including operating expensesCapacity building or activities that strengthen an organization to increase its ability to fulfill its mission, including technology & equipment, professional development & training, additional staff to implement a new program, etc.Capital improvements including new construction or renovation of a facilityEndowment funds to provide permanent and long-term support for an organization or programNote: The grants committee will consider requests for endowment funds, but it is unlikely to receive funding unless it supports a specific initiative.
For projects or programs which support positive, progressive economic or community development in Cloud County, and are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature.

Eligibility

The community foundation can make grants to the following entities:501(c)(3) nonprofit organizationsEducationGovernmentReligiousNote: Individuals or organizations that do NOT fall into one of the above entities are encouraged to partner with a fiscal agent in one of those categories.If that is not possible, please contact the community foundation to see if your project still qualifies and if there are any additional reporting requirementsGrants are typically restricted to the geographic areas served by the community foundationIt is not possible to submit the same proposal to multiple grant cycles.

Ineligibility

The following grant requests will NOT be considered:Incomplete, incorrect or late applicationsPolitical projects of any kindOrganizations or projects that practice discrimination of any kindOperating deficits or retirement of debt (if the project has already happened or been paid for, this is considered funding debt).
