Citywide Scholarship Program - Happy Hollow Access for All

Program Overview: The City of San José's Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Citywide Scholarship Program provides access to Happy Hollow Park & Zoo programs at reduced rates for eligible residents in financial need.

Geographic Scope: City of San José, California residents only

Eligibility:

  • San José residents ages 0-49 years

  • Active Adults participants

  • All Access participants

  • Individuals and families with special financial needs

  • Subject to available funding and qualifications
  • What is Funded:

  • Reduced admission ticket rates to Happy Hollow Park & Zoo

  • Discounts on educational classes

  • Discounts on summer camps

  • Up to 4 discounted admission tickets per visit through year-end (December 31)
  • How It Works:

  • Approved applicants receive an Access for All eligibility card

  • Card valid through December 31 of approval year

  • Must reapply annually (starting January 1) with updated eligibility documentation
  • Automatic Eligibility: Residents already enrolled in the Citywide Scholarship Program automatically qualify
