Geographic Scope: Chevy Chase area, Washington, DC (Connecticut Avenue and surrounding areas)

Focus Areas:

• Exterior and storefront improvements
• Interior renovations
• Security improvements
• Equipment purchases
• Technical assistance
• HVAC systems
• Flooring and structural repairs
• Outdoor space development
• Signage and aesthetic improvements

Award Details:

• Grants of $3,962.50 - $4,000 per business
• Funds can be used for:

- Technical assistance
- Exterior and storefront improvements
- Interior renovations
- Security improvements
- Equipment purchases
- Front deck renovations
- HVAC system installation
- New flooring and repairs
- Window replacement and repairs
- Mural creation and maintenance
- Custom shelving and displays
- Sign installation and repair

Eligibility:

• Small businesses located along Chevy Chase Main Street corridor
• Diverse business types (restaurants, fitness, retail, salons, medical)

Application Process

Applications are accepted on a periodic basis:

• District Bridges opens application periods for grant funding
• As of 2021, applications were due Thursday, June 17, by 5:00 pm
• Businesses should subscribe to the District Bridges newsletter for future application announcements
• Application details available through District Bridges Main Street program office
